We had an amazing experience at this restaurant today! Maria, who served us, was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly and recommended many delicious dishes for us, including the plov and the milk tea. Everything tasted incredibly authentic and flavorful. I’m from China, and the flavors here are very close to the cuisine from the Xinjiang region back home, which made it even more special for me. It truly felt authentic and comforting. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for real Central Asian flavors. Amazing food and excellent service!

Food was bland. I have had a lot uzbeki foods in my life. This is nowhere near that. And the bill was $58 something i had $60 change i left saying keep it. I even went outside and a guy literally called us from behind asking why I didn’t leave any tips. I said I did. And he saying no thats not enough. They don’t get salaries. He also added I should give more. I then gave him $10. I mean what was that? Begging for tips? It’s voluntary and its not like i didn’t give. I gave and they called me from behind for more? Maybe if you dont care about the money its ok. But in generalised sense this is weird bad experience.

It was pretty easy to get a table for two on a Thursday evening. The menu was quite overwhelming since they have so many items on it. Decided to get the mini umka perfect puff pies (you can mix and match) and eggplant caviar with lavash for appetizer, and my favorite were the cheese and prime steak puff pies. For entree, we shared the kovurma lagman and kyrgyz ganfan but we didn’t realize the base was exactly the same which was a bummer. Definitely enjoyed the noodle dish more than the rice. The portion was a bit on the smaller side for the price. But overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the live music.

An amazing culinary tour of central Asia, this place is a gem. Don't miss the Tefteli! With such a big menu, we'll have to come back to try more foods. And the service was first rate!

Paid another visit to this place and it always delivers. The one and only Central Asian Restaurant in Manhattan. Great ambiance, delicious food, extremely nice waiter whose name is Max. He is super attentive, great at communicating. I will definitely come back here whenever I’m in NYC. Thank you guys, keep up the amazing work!

I’ve been living in the USA for three years, and this is the first time I’ve tasted cuisine from my home country—and I couldn’t be more pleased! Farida Restaurant in Manhattan gave me the feeling of being back home with their delicious and authentic dishes. The shashlyk was perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with flavor, reminding me of the ones back home. The baursak was light and fluffy, just like how my family makes it. Their beshbarmak was rich and hearty, with tender meat and perfectly cooked noodles—comfort food at its best! The fresh salad was also a great addition, balancing out the meal beautifully. Their watermelon lemonade was refreshing and one of the highlights of the experience! It paired perfectly with the savory dishes, adding a cool, fruity contrast. I enjoyed the food so much that I will definitely come back to New York just to try it again. If you’re looking for a true taste of Central Asian cuisine and want to feel at home, I highly recommend Farida. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

The medovik honey cake and kvass my favorite! All of the dishes are very tastyyy, servers are very nice and sweet, music choice is excellent, and vibes/decor are amazing! There is live music and dancer on the weekend

We had a great experience in this restaurant. The main traditional dish was amazing, but we didn't like their lamb kebab. The dumpling with the meat was great. Also, we tried the Mojito drink, and it was absolutely refreshing. The honey cake as well was great. The staff very friendly and respectful. Decoration was nice. My only problem was the bathroom light that was blue and very hard to see. I don't know if It's always like that or only when we visited.

Having been to their 9th Avenue location, we were excited to have Farida open in our neighborhood. Have now been here twice. The menu significantly expanded in our most recent visit. Favorite is the pumpkin dumpling and baked buns. Food is good and attentive service. However, wish they could make more vegan versions of the Uzbekistan dishes such as plov so vegans can enjoy too.

Incredible food, service and atmosphere and i don’t say that often. Food was very different and incredible. Our server made a few suggestions that definitely added to the taste. Service was amazing. Honestly couldn’t possibly ask for anything more.

We came to Farida for a Pulsd deal— overall we enjoyed our meal! The ambience of the restaurant is great, and we enjoyed the music of the live drummer. The highlight of our meal was our appetizers— the homemade umka puff pies were delicious! We tried both the chicken and cheese. We also enjoyed our entrees— the plov with chicken and plov with beef and lamb were seasoned well! Our dishes all came out at different times which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Farida!

An authentic uzbek plov was a chef’s kiss. We loved everything about it - very flavorful with the perfect amount of spices and tender lamb and beef. Borscht was perfect as well. I can definitely recommend both these dishes. The service was very friendly, and they speak both Russian and English. I’m very happy to have found this place and am excited to come here again with my friends.

Great food lay behind the verdant doors that lead into a colourful underground enclave. The staff were very welcoming, and Asil was excellent as a server: incredibly patient, eager to help and happy to recommend dishes to our trio of out-of-towners. The Shurpa warmed us right up after a morning on the Statue of a Liberty and Ellis Island ferry. The pies were flaky, moist, and stuffed to bursting with the perfectly spiced meat. The Plov was delectable. Perfectly cooked rice, carrots and beef. Delicious! Would highly recommend!
