We have been excited to try the food at this cafe for months after only stopping in previously for a quick tea. I grew up in the middle east and love turkish cuisine, I have been many times. We first tried to place our order from the menu but the lady at the counter was very confused and kept telling us we couldn’t get two of the same plates, and then tried to charge us for a more expensive meal then what we were ordering. After we paid, we put the change into the tip jar and she angrily dumped it out on the counter and handed it back to us. We sat down where we couldn’t see the counter , and waited for our food and drinks. When we went up to get water, she told me the drink had been ready and was waiting on the counter, which we didn’t know. Then we were waiting for the food for a while. She ended up coming over to our side of the cafe where she was organizing the freezer, and she finally turned around and said super rudely “I told you five minutes ago your food was ready”. We were like uh what? And the food had been sitting on the counter out of sight and even though we were talking very quietly we didn’t hear her ever announce it to us. As we were eating, another couple came in and they had their drinks, food trays, and even silverware brought to their table even though they were sitting right in front of the counter. After we bussed our food she then glared at us as we left and didn’t say anything. Food was fine, nothing special. On previous trips here the baklava and tea was enjoyable. Was looking forward to making this place a regular stop, definitely will not be coming back.

This is an awesome cafe. The doner baguette was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had, and I’m a foodie. Also very reasonably priced. Highly reccomend.

Everyone has works at the place do their best to take care of you and make sure you get what you need. I love coming to this place and if you haven’t tried, you should definitely check it out. They have the best Turkish desserts, and pastries Also, they have definitely the best baklava in town!

It’s definitely partially my fault for ordering at the counter and not reading the menu, but the Lahmachun is vegan and sad. I’m so disappointed that I spent $40 on vegan lahmachun
