Since arriving to the US in 2015, the Rawaos family sought ways to share a piece of their home in Syria with their new community in the Bay Area. It took launching their own catering company, and learning the realities small business ownership in a pandemic to discover that their calling was coffee. Damask Rose opened its door in May 2022, motivated by the Rawoas family's dream to build a space where the community can gather and reconnect over delicious Syrian-style food and drink.
