I have never tried the original place in Karachi, but had heard good things about it. This place is new, and is very busy where one can\'t get in without reservations at all. However, the wait was well worth it. The service was great, they did a wonderful job of accommodating our large party, and were very patient, adjusting when needed. We tried almost everything on the menu and it was outstanding. From the Thai soup, chicken corn soup and Hot and sour, to the dynamite chicken, it was all great. The portion sizes were huge (family size), and each entree had its own individual unique flavor. We had spicy garlic chicken, beef chili dry, beef chili with gravy and chicken manchurian. Simply excellent food, decor, ambience and service. We will add this to the top of our list of places to visit whenever we return
We were heading out for dinner when we found our original spot surprisingly closed, so we decided to try Gensoy instead. The seating and décor were cute and welcoming, creating a comfortable atmosphere from the start. We ordered Thai soup, chicken noodle soup, and corn soup. For appetizers, we had chicken dumplings and dynamite shrimp. For the main course, we chose chow mein, Mongolian beef, and sweet & spicy chicken. The food was excellent — rich in flavors, clean yet complex on the palate. Portions were good, and the quality stood out. Prices are slightly above average, which makes sense given the à la carte concept. Service could use some improvement. The appetizers arrived before the soups, and the main dishes took quite a long time to come out. A highlight for me was the lemon and mint drink — refreshing and perfect after the heat of the spicy dishes. Overall, a lovely surprise with great food, but timing and service need a bit of refinement.
