Saffron Bakery and Cafe is a great spot for a fresh, high-quality lunch. The atmosphere is warm and the smell of fresh bread hits you the moment you walk in. The Meal: The soup was hearty and clearly made from scratch, pairing perfectly with the crisp, fresh side salad. The Sandwich: The standout was the house-baked bread—it was exceptionally fresh and elevated the whole sandwich. The Croissant: Buttery and rich, though it lacked a bit of that signature "shattery" crunch on the outside. Verdict: A solid 4-star experience. It’s slightly pricier than average, but the quality of the ingredients and the friendly service make it well worth it.
The red velvet cake is addictive!
We went there at 11:00am to have a nice brunch while traveling, and it looked good based on the website. They were out of quiche, whole wheat rolls, and would not make anything with eggs. The reason they gave was that breakfast was over, yet the website says nothing about a cutoff time for breakfast sandwiches. We decided to go somewhere else. Horrible advertising, and customer service needs improvement. Do not recommend.
