Mexico is a country where halal food is a rarity; almost impossible to find. We were happy to discover a very few halal friendly options (other than seafood) on our recent trip. Falafel Nassaya in Playa Del Carmen was one of these places. A middle east based cuisine serving a variety of falafel and veggie/vegan options. Their complete falafel platter is amazing. Falafel balls are crispy and delicious. They are served with fresh salad, fries, hummus and sauces. Check it out if you are in the area.
