My fiancé and I came here for his birthday. We had such an amazing experience. From the atmosphere, service, and quality of food - everything was 12/10. The duck breast was so tender and flavourful. That said, all of the food had great flavours! The waiters even sang him happy birthday without me requesting it. Phenomenal experience ☺️
We came here on a Sunday, and the space instantly reminded us of our time in Morocco. They’ve done a fantastic job preserving the culture and atmosphere it felt calm and inviting. One thing we missed from Morocco was mint tea, so you have to start with this. They use fresh mint and will refill your pot for just a few extra dollars. 10/10. We were welcomed with olives to start, and we ordered the Beef Kefta over Harissa Sauce, which was juicy, bold in flavour, and served with warm, fluffy semolina bread. 10/10. We also had the Lamb Shank Tagine – Lemon & Saffron (Signature Dish), and the lamb was falling off the bone, coated in a deep, warming spice blend. I paired it with couscous, which was light and absorbed the tagine flavours beautifully. Would absolutely order this again 10/10! We also tried the Harissa Spicy Chicken Kebab (Signature Dish), which was okay. The chicken was a bit dry and could have used more sauce. It felt more westernized, so if you’re looking for authentic flavours, I’d recommend sticking with a tagine instead. Overall 5/10.

The food here is incredible, easily a 5/5. Every dish felt authentic and was bursting with flavor. The atmosphere and service were great (solid 4/5), though it does get pretty busy and loud in there to have a convo..! The absolute highlight was the belly dancers on the weekend. If you can, definitely go on a Friday or Saturday night; they bring such an amazing energy to the room that makes the whole meal feel like a party. Definitely worth a visit!
We had an amazing dining experience at Moltaqa. For our appetizer, we ordered the chilled eggplant dip, which was absolutely delicious, especially paired with the Moroccan fresh bread baked in the restaurant, incredibly soft, warm, and comforting. The server, Ryohei was very welcoming and the manager was extremely hospitable and generous and kindly offered us Pickled Aubergines with Walnuts & Pomegranate on the house, which were outstanding. For the mains, we had the lamb shank with apricot, rice, and aromatic spices, rich, tender, and full of beautiful Arabic flavors. We also ordered the Moroccan Beef Kefta Tagine with couscous and the Lamb Shoulder, both of which were amazing and perfectly spiced. To top it all off, the manager surprised us with Lamb Sirloin Kebab on the house — and WOW! It was incredible, literally melting in our mouths. We finished with tea, coffee, and cookies, which felt so warm and comforting on a cold, rainy day after such a wonderful meal. A big thank you to our amazing server, Ryohei, and the manager/owner for making us feel so welcome. The interior is beautiful, and the whole experience truly felt like being at home. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!
