This place is off the hook. They are located off of Khalid bin Waleed Rd. in Karachi closer to the Bahadarabad end of the road. It is situated in the basement/ground floor of a building but it is plenty spacious inside. There are private rooms available as well for families where one can down on the ground on rugs, in typical middle Eastern fashion and eat like a king. Depending upon your time of arrival, you may have to wait up to an hour to get seated. First thing that you will notice is the ambiance, that reminds one of a typical Saudi restaurant. The meals begin with complimentary Yakhni or beef soup which is just the perfect appetizer for what is to follow. Their fattoush salad is also good but make sure that you are leaving enough room in your tummy for the main course. I ordered Muttonn Mandi and Chicken Madhbi. Both the dishes were very flavorful, came with a lot of meat and rice and each platter is good enough for 2 to 3 people. The prices are around a 1000 Rs. per person but you will not be disappointed. The rice are long grain and freshly made and the taste reminded me of the Saudi and UAE restaurants where I was first introduced to these dishes. Do not forget to order the dessert, which is Kunafa, even if you can only eat a single bite. I loved the family friendly atmosphere, super fast service and great food. This place would be perfect if you go with a large family or group of friends, and you can book an entire private seating area and enjoy the food and conversation with the company while being pampered with very courteous service. A must go to place for any foodie out there.
