I had the Somali steak sandwich and it was so delicious that I went three days in a row and bought again. I really need to try some of the other items on the menu. The branch at 720 Washington Ave. puts more of the green chili stuff than the one at 5 W 7th Pl in St. Paul. Service is excellent at both locations I have been to so far. Highly recommend Afro Deli and Grill!

Halal food. Excellent taste, quality, portion size, and price! I have tried the entire menu, and all items are excellent, except for a few which are okay. They make the food fresh, so it takes some time.

I was staying at the Graduate Hilton hotel that is very close to this restaurant during a trip to Minneapolis in July 2025. One evening, a couple of friends and I decided to have dinner there. When we went, there was a small crowd. We immediately got a table and ordered four dishes. The food came pretty soon and were plentiful. Each dish was very tasty. Also, it was unbelievably cheap. We were very happy with our meal and would gladly go back there.

I'm a regular customer who visit there at least once or twice a week. I buy foods for my employees too. I love Afro deli but i hated experince from yesterday. The cashier yesterday at oct.12, 2pm? who took my order was prepping my food with bare hand and cleaned his hand with his aprons. He was touching meat and veges inside of gopher gyro with bare hands after touching other stuffs. One was with gloves and one without but i didnt like it at all. I will say your gyros are so good that would like to visit again but not on that guy working.
