We were crossing the street and heard a familiar music 😃 When we entered, what we received was an unforgettable example of true Kurdish hospitality!!! From the very first moment, we were treated like family, not customers. Tea, drinks, dancing, a birthday celebration, and so much genuine kindness ❤️ All given with open hearts and without taking any payment!!! This wasn’t just a restaurant experience, it was a beautiful cultural moment I will always carry with me!!! Iranians and Kurds share deep historical, cultural, and emotional roots. From now on, this kindness and hospitality will always be what I remember when I think of Kurdish people. Thank you for making my birthday so incredibly special!!! 🤍✨

My husband's work had their year-end party at Ishtar Family Restaurant, and we had such a great time there. I highly recommend checking it out and don't be shy about asking questions. The staff were really good about explaining all the different items we tried. My favorite part of our dining experience was the Ishtar salad, the BBQ platter (the chicken is amazing) and the baklava... oh and the Arabic Tea. Honestly, it was an incredible dining experience. I can't wait to go back and share what I've learned with friends. It's a great space. Perfect for small to medium sized gatherings.

Visited for the first time and had very good experience. Food is very fresh, tasty and flavourful. Shisha was good as well . Jay served us today , very attentive, nice and friendly service. I totally recommend this place , we will be back . Thank you!

We visited Ishtar Restaurant in Calgary and the food itself was really good — fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. We were looking forward to it and the quality didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, the service did. We received the wrong dish compared to what was described on the menu, but when we brought it up, they insisted it was correct and wouldn’t fix it. Only when we pointed it out again while paying did they finally admit the mistake — but by then, it was too late to change it. On top of that, the bill also had the wrong price, which was frustrating to deal with at the end of the meal. Overall, the food is worth trying if you’re craving this cuisine, but I really hope they improve how they handle customer feedback and billing mistakes.

Yo!!! We had a blast night! 😃 They food is awesome and oh my god, Farasha is like our friend. She brought us tasty snacks and shot, adjusted the lights and even picked beautiful music for us. 😻 My friend can't stop complimenting the food and the services. She even started dancing and made me cry. Don't get me wrong, it's my tear of joy. 200% recommend and will definitely go there with my badminton friends again. 🥰
