Absolutely amazing food. Might be underrated but the homely Bangladeshi spot serves Bengali cuisine that no other Indian subcontinent restaurant in Berlin serves. Very quite and peaceful restaurant. We had Cha, Begun (Brinjal) Bhaja, Pomfret Kalia (Fish), Murgi (Chicken) r Jhol, Porota (Fried Bread), Mishti Doi (dessert) and is absolutely fantastic. The flavor of the food is absolutely authentic. Fish variations (Rui, Rupkini/ Pomfret, Pabda) and Bharta variations are ourside the menu I attached. The owner’s culinary recommendations are top notch. His warmth of the owner is heartwarming. It is an overall extremely recommended place if you love / would like to try to East Indian / Bangladeshi taste.
Dining at this Bangladeshi restaurant at Berlin was like stepping into a home —every dish evoked nostalgia and captured the true essence of Bengal’s culinary tradition. The Chicken Roast was tender and richly spiced, the Pabda fish curry had a delicate crunch, and the Daal was simply awesome. Even the accompaniments like basmati rice and tomato and Bengun Baata (Bhorta) were bursting with authentic flavors, reminding me of homemade meals. The service was warm and attentive, with staff eager to share recommendations and stories about each dish. The décor was elegant yet rooted in Bengali heritage, making it the perfect spot for both intimate and festive gatherings. Whether you’re Bengali or simply a lover of great food, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Bengali cuisine. Highly recommended for its authenticity, variety, and value for money! Warm Regards
The ambience is good. As a Bangladeshi,it was a kind of a dream come true moment that i found a dedicated Bangladeshi restraunt.. I craved for Bangladeshi food... So yeah, got some choices here. But all the items are not 100% recommendable.. Also it is pricy here. 1 cup of dudhcha (Milk tea) is 6-6.5 euro.. That is more than huge.. Also the amount of vorta they surve is not enough for one person but they charged 4.5 euro for tomato vorta that too was served in tiny little 3 inch plate. Kalavuna is not recommendable. The daal was good but too much pricy. So overall i expected more. And they took advantage of being the only dedicated Bangladeshi restaurant. They gave hand written bill and took a lot of time to serve
Fantastic foods and ambience. The owner was a nice guy and so much friendly. Food was so tasteful. Recommended. (N.B. Don’t forget to bring Cash)
The decoration has an explicit touch of DIY finish that makes the atmosphere candid and authentic. The Bengali food items are good and authentic in taste, but of average quality. The average quality doesn't justify the high price. The presentation is simple and aesthetically flat (I, personally, don't care about it) which might also be an additional shortcoming for many. The washroom is workable, but it doesn't give a clean vibe. There are few areas to improve. Other, Asian restaurants of similar price range provide a better atmosphere and quality by a big margin. I hope they improve these major shortcomings.
