It felt like a first visit all over again, returning to BurgerFuel in Palmerston North after what can only be described as donkey years. For a Monday morning, the place was reasonably busy, humming with a quiet energy that was met with efficient and prompt service. We sampled both a beef and a chicken burger, and each was genuinely good, delivering on flavour and quality. The interior lived up to the brand's reputation, embracing a funky, slightly rebellious aesthetic of car and graffiti culture. There's no denying the prices sit on the steeper side for a fast food meal, but the tangible difference in the quality of the ingredients and the final product seems to make a fair case for the extra cost. It was a solid reintroduction to a familiar name.
