This includes our beef patties and grilled free-range chicken. Please note that while the chicken in our fried chicken products (specifically Modifried Thunderbird and Choppers) are Halal, they are crumbed at a premises that is not Halal certified. If you are Halal we’re happy to cook your favourite burger on a separate grill, using clean utensils. Our stores are not Halal in the strictest sense, some products on our menu are not halal certified.'

Visited BurgerFuel Mt Eden at 128 Valley Road recently. The location itself is quite convenient and easy to find, especially being close to Dominion Road. However, parking is a real challenge here. The lot is very tight and requires good driving skills to get in and out comfortably—if you’re not confident with tight spaces, it can be quite stressful. The restaurant follows the usual BurgerFuel style—car-themed, casual, and no reservations, with some outdoor seating available. One thing to keep in mind is that BurgerFuel doesn’t offer combo deals, so everything has to be ordered separately. For our group of four, we ordered 4 burgers, 4 drinks, and 4 fries, which came to $92. While the food itself was decent and the burgers were definitely tasty, it still felt quite expensive for a casual meal like this. It’s hard not to feel like it’s a bit of a rip-off when you look at the total cost. There were about 7 staff working when we arrived, and service was reasonably efficient. Food came out in a fair amount of time, and the team seemed organised. That said, the overall experience didn’t feel particularly special or memorable. It makes me wonder if the relatively high prices are partly due to staffing and operational costs. In terms of food quality, BurgerFuel delivers what you expect—flavourful, freshly made burgers and decent fries. The housemade aioli and kumara fries are nice touches, and there are vegetarian options available as well. However, nothing really stood out enough to justify the price point compared to other burger places. Overall, it was a mixed experience. Good location and decent food, but the tight parking and high cost bring it down. We left feeling satisfied but not convinced it was worth the money. Probably won’t be coming back again anytime soon.
