The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served. From the management: 'Dolan Uyghur Restaurant serves food that is 100% Halal.'
Dolan is all about serving traditional meals “for those you love the most”. We invite you to Dolan, to enjoy a taste of our culture, savor a meal with your loved ones, and experience the culinary tradition of Central Asia. When you visit Dolan Restaurant, we hope you think of the Uyghur people and imagine the snow-capped mountains, winding rivers, and blue-green lakes of central Asia that the Uyghur people call home.

The food here is amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. The items I would recommend are the lagman, goshnan and samsa. Definitely will be going back!
Located in the heart of Cleveland Park, this slight upscale restaurant serves cuisine from the Muslim Uyghur people who live largely in northwest China and number in the 11-15 million range. Sadly, this restaurant tries hard to appeal to the local non-Muslim population by serving an extensive array of alcohol and posting gibberish in their menu like, \"Unique House Recipes Presented With Passion\" and \"Uyghur cuisine commonly features the influences of the West and East, antiquity and the present, great skill, imagination, beauty and harmony of taste.\" The Cleveland Park subway stop is right outside, so leave the 2007 Audi S8 V10 at home. Look, try the signature dish, Laghman ($16, chewy hand-pulled noodles) with whatever meat is halal. The pearled noodles ($15) is chopped up pasta, beef, and vegetables with a consistency approaching a porridge -- this tastes ok but the texture isn\'t so appetizing unless you\'re on an NDD3 dysphagia diet. Overall, Dolan Uyghur earns 3 out of 5 stars and loses 1 for the alcohol and pandering for a revised 2 out of 5. While the author was happy to try this once, he will be moving on to other Uyghur restaurants.
