Part of the The Port of Peri Peri chain — see all 28 locationsOur story begins long ago, when Portuguese sailors took with them a souvenir plant after visiting the coast of Africa. They took it home because they noticed that this tiny pepper, also called the African Bird's Eye chili didn't just contain the heat but had its own distinct flavor as well. The Bird's Eye chili is the star ingredient of our signature blends which gives our food a burst of fresh and irresistible twist like you've never tasted before! We bring you the same Peri Peri that made its way to the world from the Portuguese city of Porto across the Atlantic Ocean to entice the American taste buds. We took the same Peri Peri and added a new dimension to it with our secret blends that takes the taste of our food to a whole new level!
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From the management: 'Every single item, from our flame-grilled chicken to our drinks and desserts, is fully halal. We are proudly certified by the Halal Food Standards Alliance of America (HFSAA.org), ensuring complete peace of mind with every bite.'

We regularly go to Nando's wherever we can find one. The quality and taste of this Portuguese peri peri restaurant surpasses that of Nando's. Their peri peri chicken has authentic taste. Pitas/wraps are delicious as well. Owner was very polite and helpful. We are definitely going back.
This is basically halal Nandos. The service here is mediocre at best, slow (call ahead), but the chicken is one of a kind. The rice is boring (not like the real deal) basically just biryani rice.
Chicken is amazing. Fresh and grilled and tasty. Service is very inconsistent. They will screw up your order if you don't stay in top of them. They hire cheap cheap labor of attitude filled cashiers and workers.
The flavors are good but the staff don\'t clean the tables till asked, they mix up orders, and don\'t really know how to wrap the wraps. The Portos in Schaumburg is a 100% better than the one in Skokie.
Average food quality yet expensive. Rice is very blend, spiciness on chicken can be adjusted to preference but really, nothing special on taste. Anyone could do their own tastier wraps at home. There are other places elsewhere which are better. Not worth the money.
It used to be Fogo's Peri Peri. Visited twice after name change. Was disappointed the first time but now looks same taste is back. Try mild as hot is really hot. I wish they could improve service and timing. Closest you can get to Halal Nandos in USA:)
It's halal but the wings platter used to be very nice. No doubt it's tasty but there wings are way too small I can get bigger wings from any other halal store and they charge the same for that small wings. Before it used to big and nice wings which can be good for like 3-4 people. But now it's not even good for 2 people. I would not recommend you to go there and waste your money.
Would get a 5 if they get the order right each time. I've been here numerous times and the order has frequently been incorrectly fulfilled. Chicken is AMAZING!
the place is ok but they are always out of everything last week we came and they were out of legs and thighs this week they would allow for ordering whole chickens and asked for 60 minutes for the order to get ready . looks like they need some inventory management skills . we waited for the food and it was ok when it came
Chicken was great, but felt raw in some thick pieces. The combo meals should be revised to have better chicken, rice, fries ratio. Service can be a little better. E.g. Not ignoring a customer while walking past them 3-4 times without telling them that you would be with them shortly. This place still stands out.
Best halal wings since Birdies in Englewood closed down. Really delicious and flavorful, even the mild wings had a great grilled taste. Hot wings were too much for me but my wife enjoyed them. Dipping sauces and cassava fries are excellent.
Split the wing platter with two guys and we were all stuffed by the end. Spicier than we thought, we topped out at \"Medium\" heat. Wings were nice and meaty.
Pretty close, but not Nandos. I do however rate it is the best \'wannabe Nandos\' and also the ciabatta bun used for the burger beats the Nandos bun.
Very Delicious chicken, the staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. Don\'t try to challenge their hot chicken because it\'s very very hot! exactly like Nandos!
Great chicken. Did I say the chicken is great? Great chicken.
Strongly reccomended. Confirmed Zabiha Halal per owner. Tastes like Nandos, loved it.
I came from New Jersey and bro suggested this place. I loved the food, I tasted Peri Peri chicken after a long and loved it. Nice place for family. Place is clean with nice food. Bathrooms are clean.
Yummiest chicken ever! Go with moderate cos their hot is actually really hot. Excellent portions for the price!
