Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status.. From a reader: 'Was told multiple times by owners that lamb and ground beef is halal. Encourage others to also inquire and follow up. I did not ask re: certification.'

I have been here a couple of times before. The food is definitely good. First halal Ethiopian place I had been to. I have had vegetarian Ethiopian before. Couple of halality notes: does serve Alcohol. Last time I went, their Alcohol license was suspended (Alhamdulillah) due to selling to underage kids. Also, one of the items on their menu is made with non-halal chicken. It's the chicken leg that isn't halal. I really was speechless as I don't understand why he doesn't get halal chicken legs. Anyways, as long as you don't mind the alcohol (when they get their license back) and you maneuver around the non-halal chicken leg, it's a cool experience.
So awesome! Excellent food. Excellent service. Wish they had more halal options, but oh well. Freakin schoops ass was on fire afterwards bcz of the spices. But the rest of us loved it. Even Buck!
Halal Ethiopian? YES! Was told multiple times by owners that lamb and ground beef is halal. Encourage others to also inquire and follow up (I did not ask re: certification).
