This place cannot be called a Turkish market. It is ridiculous to call it a Turkish market when the man working in the butcher section openly shows hostility toward Turkish people. Whenever he talks about Turks, he humiliates us and describes us as underdeveloped. My mother grew up with limited opportunities and may not speak English, but as a Turkish woman, she worked very hard to give me a good education. Thanks to her, I graduated from a university with a fully English language education, and I have been speaking English since I was seven years old :) We are not ashamed of being TURKISH - we are proud of it 🇹🇷 I wrote this message in English specifically for that man. I hope he understands it :) P.S. I came to this city as a short-term tourist, and this immigrant man’s attitude does not matter to me at all compared to the kindness of both the local people and the other immigrants living here.
