I’ve ordered from this Shah’s Halal location several times over the years, both in person and for takeout. When I first started coming here, I really enjoyed the chicken over rice platter and considered it one of my favorite quick halal meals. Unfortunately, over time, the quality hasn’t felt as consistent to me. The chicken and rice don’t seem as flavorful as they used to be, and the overall taste hasn’t been as enjoyable during my more recent visits. I’ve also noticed that portions of lettuce seem smaller than before. The white sauce, which used to be one of the highlights of the meal, doesn’t have the same flavor that I remember, and I think it could use some improvement. The hot sauce is decent, but I would love to see more variety and different flavor options. I also wish there were a few more toppings or sides included with the platters, such as pickled onions, olives, or a larger portion of fries, similar to what I’ve seen offered at some of Shah’s larger restaurant locations. That said, the staff have always been fine, and the food is still convenient if you’re looking for a quick grab-and-go meal. It just doesn’t stand out to me the way it did in the past. I may stop by occasionally in the future, but for now it’s no longer my first choice for halal food. I hope the quality improves because I know this place has the potential to be much better based on my earlier experiences.
