Monsoon India

Visited in December 2022 with parents. Got various lamb dishes, all were pretty bad, and we\'re not picky eaters. Service was OK. Portions were small (including the mango lassis), cost was high; some of this might be due to generally high costs in Maui. There was an automatic 18% gratuity for our party of six, which is not unheard of. Interestingly there was also a 4% \"kitchen appreciation\" fee. However they didn\'t call either of these out when presenting the credit card receipt for signature, with a placeholder to specify the tip amount! So, go in with reduced expectations about the food and service, and increased expectations about the price. Note this is actually \"Monsoon Bar & Grill\", which rather than \"Monsoon India\" written here.

Went here a few years ago. The owner is from California and owned a few restaurants in the South Bay before permanently moving to Wailea. Only the lamb is halal. Owner is extremely nice and friendly. Lamb samosa and lamb karhai were both good!

Lamb is halal, to have this kind of food so far away from its origin is great. Definitely worth trying.

This restaurant is very beautifully located on a beach front. It is inside a resort so a little hard to find. We had to ask to find the place. The reason we went was because we wanted to have Desi food. The owner Hari was extremely hospitable. The food was OK, the price was a little high. I would not go there just to have Desi food. If you can do vegetarian like Daal and Sabhzi then go to any Indian restaurant near your hotel/condo.

Only lamb is Halal. Great location, big place, great service. Fish Tikka was great. Veg biryani was not good. Good Mango Lassi and Pineaple Lassi, pinacolada ok, On the pricey side but still worth it while you are in Maui. Would recommend a visit.

Ok food. Spices were out of proportion only lamb is halal which they get from Costco and was not well cooked. Daal and chana was ok.
