I used to go to Rafaello every Sunday with my family. The crepes were crispy, hot, and appetizing, with a generous dollop of Nutella, even if there was always one missing from some crepes and they were always running low on Nutella! For the past few months, the crepes have become increasingly disappointing. They're doughy and cold; the quality has dropped so much that I can make better ones at home than I do now. What's more, the service is honestly terrible: orders are forgotten, the staff is unfriendly, and there's a complete lack of organization. And let's not forget the change in spread. They're charging us for Nutella, which is nothing like it! It's just a simple chocolate spread that ruins everything! And they try to convince us that's what it is... In short, a drop in quality and price... Disappointing.
The first photo shows a waffle from Raffaello, and the second photo shows my idea of what a waffle should be! The flattest waffle in the world—very disappointed.
I received a lukewarm welcome. I ordered takeout and got a Nutella crepe with toasted almonds as a topping, which cost €6. For €6, I received a very basic crepe, the kind you could make at home. I was disappointed. I expected it to be in a tray, not wrapped in paper, and with a nicer presentation. A Nutella crepe for €6 is overpriced for what I got. It was my first and last time at Raffaello St. Paul. On the plus side, the toasted almonds gave the crepe a lovely flavor, although I found it a little too sweet. And it wasn't the chocolate; the crepe itself was sweet.
Paying €5.60 for a Nutella and banana crepe without Nutella? Honestly, it needs improvement! I don't recommend it!
I'm not one to complain, but this is extremely bad. I arrived and wasn't greeted, not even a hello. My children and I had to ask three times to have the tables cleared. The waitress, who was working, seemed annoyed and nonchalant. Luckily, there was a charming young man who apologized for his colleague's behavior, and I even found blond hair on my crepe. A serious lack of communication.
