About Chote Nawab

Indian Cuisine. Halaal, however with alcohol served on premises. Chote Nawab is restaurateur Shiva Natarajan's latest culinary addition to Murray Hill. Chote Nawab quite literally translates to "Little Prince." The Nawabs of India, mainly in the city of Lucknow, were very much the foodies of their day, known for their elaborate royal kitchens, hospitality and of course their Kababs.

The chicken tikka masala, daals, peshkash kebobs and the dum biriyani are my fave! Also like the alu paratha, garlic naan and chilli onion naan (making me drool now). The only thing I didn't like last time was that they brought out the dum lamb biriyani when we ordered goat and they didn't even bother telling us until we found out. When I asked they said they didn't have lamb. Also a bit pricey compared to the other Indian restaurants nearby. I would still go back just from that DUM BIRIANI!
