Love the food - always excellent. But tonight we have guests over from out of town who we told must try the food too. Two hours now since ordering and no sign of the food. It's now after 9pm and they need to leave to return home. It's fine to be busy and the food take longer than usual to arrive but just be honest if that's the case and don't say it'll be 50 minutes for delivery when two hours later it's still not here. Then if time was an issue we could have chosen to order somewhere else. Two hours when quoted 50 minutes isn't really acceptable. Especially when no one has cared at any point to tell us that it'll be late. Such a shame because the food is excellent. All you have to do is be honest and proactive and tell customers that there's a delay. Instead I'm left to chase it up and deal with our guests hunger and worry about having to leave so that they can get home.
We were staying in Telford overnight and wanted a restaurant where we could celebrate my husband’s birthday. The restaurants in Telford Centre did not interest us but we found Bangla Pride on line. We were delighted that we did. Our table was ready as we arrived despite it being a Saturday and them being busy - note, do book in advance as we did or you might be disappointed. The welcome was friendly and we were given time to settle and peruse the menu. We did order poppadoms immediately and they arrived within minutes accompanied by spicy and non spicy dips and onions. We ordered our starters which arrived in good time, no long wait but neither were they rushed out. That was the same for the main course. Both the starters and the main course were absolutely delicious and spiced exactly as stated on the menu. The plates did not arrive too soon so that they were cold when the meal arrived and the food was at a perfect temperature. You take your own wine and beer which is nice and there is no corkage charge which is even better. Overall we had a great evening and a wonderful meal. We have decided to visit the area again later in the year so that we can return to Bangla Pride. We recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly.
Excellent service. The food exceptional. Value for money. Bring your own booze or go over The Fighting Cocks opposite. Both Highly recommended.
We had a great meal here last night, 18/11/25, the service and all our four meals were piping hot and really well received. Thank you and look forward to seeing you soon. Danny
The food alone was out of this world… and the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff are amazing and it didn’t cost the world. I can not wait for my next visit and and I would defo recommend it to friends and family
