Cedar Lounge is easily one of my favorite Lebanese restaurants in Munich – and yes, it’s absolutely worth the trip out to Rosenkavalierplatz. The homemade lemon-mint lemonade alone is reason enough to visit: refreshingly tangy, perfectly balanced, and incredibly addictive. The mezze starters are generous, flavorful, and remind me of the dishes I came to love during my travels to Beirut and Byblos. A personal favorite is the Batata Harra – potatoe cubes with chili, garlic, oil, and fresh coriander. Here’s a little insider tip: order a side of Toum (garlic cream). It’s the perfect match not just for the Batata Harra, but also for the falafel. Classics like hummus, moutabal, fattoush, and halloumi are all excellent – freshly made, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. When it comes to mains, you really can’t go wrong. We usually go for the Mixed Grill, which is consistently juicy and full of flavor – and yes, it comes with another helping of that irresistible Toum. In the warmer months, the terrace is a lovely place to relax. Despite being next to a hotel, the lush greenery creates a cozy, almost Mediterranean feel. One special touch: the wide wicker chairs with reclining backs, reminiscent of business class airline seats. You can lean back comfortably, enjoy a shisha, and take in the clear night sky. A truly special spot – warm, welcoming, and always worth a return visit!

If you like real Lebanese food and happen to be walking around Munich, you can't miss this fantastic restaurant. Excellent in every way, including the staff that serves us every time we go and the friendliness of its owner.
