Rooted in the warmth and care of a family, Shekarchi Restaurants were established in 1985 as the initial purveyors of Persian and Mediterranean food in Los Angeles. WARNING not all menu is halal . Only 2 plate of chicken are halal ask about them.the chicken was tender and juicy though.

This is a halaal place but serves alcohol. However the food is excellent and portions are quite big. we ate for three days supper at this place. The kabob is great apart from the soft fluffy rice and side,would recommend to anyone seeking halaal food in LA.

The food was delicious and prices were very reasonable. I talked to one of the waiters and he confirmed the food was halal. They are advertising beer and wine on the menu. The waiter told me that they weren't offering beer or wine as of 09/2013, but they were planning to offer it in the upcoming months.

Went there recently. Food was decent. Not sure a part of the restaurant was decorate with empty wine bottles, but overall it was good. Verbally said meat was halal.

Chicken was so juicy and tender. Their falafel wrap was very flavorful and filling. Menu is small but quality is good.
