Kiosk inside one of the hallways of Terminal 1 in JFK Airport, near gate 5. They have American (ex. Reuben sandwich) and Turkish food and a huge 'halal food' sign. The staff assured us that all of the items on the menu were halal.

This is a kiosk located inside terminal 1 of JFK airport serving a mix of Turkish and American fare. There\'s a sign that states \"halal\" and the staff verified that at least the chicken was halal. CAUTION: the kiosk also serves numerous variants of PORK. There is no separation of equipment and cross-contamination was observed by this author (shared knives, panini press, etc). This author reluctantly tried the fajita panini ($11) which is about as bad as airport food gets. Avoid this place: halal doesn\'t just mean the meat is zabihah, it also means it\'s not defiled by pork. This author regrets that he did not throw the panini out.
