About Dilpasand Mithai & Snacks

Mithai are sweets (Dilpasand is the name of a sweet shop in Karachi). This neat little shop greets you with glass display cases full of trays of colorful treats, especially barfee (their spelling), a fudge-like treat with various flavorings such as fig, coconut, pistachio, carrot. There are also other kinds of treats like ghulab jamon which is like a donut hole, lassis, 6 flavors of ice cream, samoosas, fruit drinks and shakes.

Nasty and dirty place .. Dirty and sticky tables and the Mithai is just plain bad! The guy was so rude at the counter when asked to taste something before buying (which thankfully I did ) because don't waste money on mithai

The sweets have gone down in quality. The service is poor. I went there twice but the same guy is there and he has no clue how to treat customers. I have stopped going over there.

Although I did not try the sweets while there, I did order meat samosas and tea. I feel the samosas for $1.25 ea is way too expensive compared to the size and taste of the product received. the Chai was good. Service was pretty friendly. Next time I visit Houston, I will go back and try some of their sweets.

love their mithai``s,but the desi guy,i dont know he is owner or not has attitude problem, feel like he hates customers inquiries, and dont want to answer.earlier they had one DESI lady use to work there ,she was very nice .I dont see her anymore.but there mithais r very good and close to Pakistani taste, thats the only reason we still go there.

I regularly purchase Mithai from this location and it is always fresh and delicious. However, I recently purchases some iftar items from these guys i.e. Pakoora, Dahi Bara, etc. Their thick crust potato samoosa was absoloutely delicious unfortunately their dahi bara and pakooras were very different. I am not sure what kind of spices they used but the flavors were not familiar to me and certainly the ones I'll stay away from.

I haven't had anything else here other than their burgers and bun kabob. I love their bun kabob. I would say second to Sabri niharis bun kabob. The beef burger was good too. Stay away from the chicken tenders though.

Been here only once but it wasn't anything special. I would have to go back again and try different items to be able to comment further.
