Tandoor has set out to create a new benchmark in the East Bay by offering quality indo/pak cuisine in a comfortable casual environment that your whole family will be able to enjoy. Come in and enjoy a delicious Karahi Chicken with green & red chilis. Or Achari Gosht, New Zealand lamb pickled in a spicy rich curry. Vegetarians will love the classic Aloo Gobi (cauliflower & potatoes in a spicy rich masala), Bhindi Masala (okra, tomatoes & onions) & Malai Kofta veggieballs cooked in a nutty rich tomato gravy. If you prefer seafood, try Tandoori fish with yogurt, lemon, ginger, garlic & jalapeno, slow grilled in a clay oven, or succulent tiger prawns prepared a variety of ways.

Asalamolakum, Last night I here for iftari with my family. We had a 13 person party. Restaurant was busy, the service was nice and we get our food fast. They owner offered free kajoor and pakora for our iftar. The food was excellent! We are from Houston and we have many pakistani restaurants to choose Tandoor restaurant is the best we have go to! We will come again before returning to Houston.
This place is the best! I have been coming here for the past 2 months. It keeps getting better and better. They have an excellent buffet. It only cost $7.99. They have a much larger variety compared to biryani house buffet.I went for the buffet yesterday and they had the best Haleem ever. Great spice and great atmosphere, it gets busy on buffet time, but it is a huge place. They also play good music and give great service.
Excellent food. This place is very big, to my understanding they do parties up to 150 people. The food came out fast and the menu had large variety. Good atomospher and lunch buffet for $7.99 on monday - friday.
Well if it is halal why is there no halal posting any where in or out or even on Menu. Stop lying we caught another Indian Punjabi in Stockton 7 years ago doing the same thing. If it is HALAL...post a certified halal sign Be careful Muslim brothers and sisters Shame on you...
The good news is the restaurant is locally owned. The bad news is the food was very inconsistent. We ordered four items between the two of us - one good, two so-so, one bad. Best of luck to the owners as they are going to need it.
No halal signposting anywhere in restaurant or on menu. No Islamic calligraphy. Non Muslim at the counter - if it is halal you should post a halal certified sign.
Great HALAL restaurant in the East Bay. The food is great, you can tell everything is cooked fresh. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori Chicken. Both were perfectly spiced. The prices are very cheap and same as other resturants in the area, and portions are good to share. They also give free chai with your meal. One thing I like about this place, is easy parking and very clean. You get full sevice and you dont have to clean your table or pick your own water. This place just opened about one month ago. The family that owns this restaurant has been in the area for over 15 years. They also founded the first HALAL meat shop in Contra Costa County. You can eat here in confidence knowing that its owned by a well known muslim family in the area.
