I have accidentally went to check this place since my group decided to change our venue last weekend. So far the place is not that big (and not that small, though)... but for some reasons, it lacks the touch to retain customers... The food is good so far. I would rather take home the food actually... just a friendly comment to improve the place. Its still a great place to find authentic middle eastern food.

A few friends and I, looking for a hookah bar in central Mississauga, opted to visit El Fishawy. Boy, was this ever a mistake. I wish I'd read reviews on this place prior to showing up there last night. We waited at the door to be seated, as is the norm, for about 15-20 minutes. We were ignored. No staff came up to us to tell us about wait times. That's okay, right? Well, it would have been had that been the extent of the rude behaviour. Caucasian customers and those of Arab descent would show up behind us and be immediately allowed in and seated. What is this, the 1960s in Alabama? How can an establishment in Canada, in 2013, continue to remain open when they discriminate based on skin colour in such a blatant manner? FYI: My experience wasn't an isolated incident. Please refer to reviews on websites like UrbanSpoon. This is a pattern at this establishment. We were denied service on the basis of our skin colour. It's as simple as that. When we politely approached the staff to ask when and if we could be seated, the server, without even bothering to make eye contact, told us to step behind the door and rudely asked, 'can't you see there's no space?' Appalled at the way we had just been spoken to (this has never happened to me before. I'm South Asian, and clearly a visible minority, and never in my entire life have I been treat like this, by anyone), we decided to leave. This place certainly did not deserve our business. Make no mistake, if you are a person of colour, please decide against going to this establishment. Their attitudes seem to be stuck in the Middle East where the sub-par treatment of ethnic minorities is the norm. It is NOT okay to engage in blatant discrimination in Canada. Perhaps they didn't get this memo. Terrible experience. Save yourself the trouble.

The place is open and offers variety of seating.. Everything came very quick the sheesha and food.. The sheesha was good and is good for market feeling... Good place to go with friends but not formal dinners... Love going there at times and would go again...

Probably the WORST Arabic Cafe/restaurant in Ontario. Service is horrible. Food is horrible. We went on a weekend and the place was packed by high school students and haraam atmoshphere. We ordered basic chicken/lamb dish with rice. Rice were uncooked and when we complained, the server said 'thats how they came out'. Owner was busy checking out skanky girls and maybe forgot this is Canada and he actually needs to have basic level of respect for his customers.

Went here for some Sheesha tonight. Definitely has an arab bazaar feeling here. Pretty spacious place with very good hookah at very good prices! This is real tobacco sheesha, unlike other places. Tried the lemon with mint which was pretty good. I also had a hot chocolate which was good. They also serve food, which I did not try, but I am told it is halal. Fast service.
