We had an excellent experience at Southern Sun Bloemfontein. The rooms were beautiful and clean. They gave us an interlocking room between us and our girls without even being prompted. The breakfast was nice and fresh with a big variety South Africans love. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. Close to highway is a bonus! Well done and thank you.

The rooms need a bit of an update I am very impressed with the quality of the service though. From Reception helping with bags because the porters were busy and the kitchen accommodating my wheat allergies the service here is near excellent. Yes the room needs a bit of an upgrade My in room fridge was not working, and 30 min later I got a new 1 Asked for Additional toiletries and it was there in 15 The service here in za is 5000% better than the UK where I now live.

Our favourite stop-over in Bloem. We’ve used it 4 times now and always had a good experience. Its proximity to the mall is convenient when travelling through Bloem going to and from places and needing provisions.

After a very long 10-hour drive, our family (and our dog) arrived feeling completely exhausted. The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted so warmly. We felt welcome, and were blown away by the service and the facilities. A few highlights from our stay: • Pet-Friendly- which made the stay stress-free, they also provided a bed, bowls and a treat. • The gardens are absolutely beautiful, they pool is great too- deeper pool and smaller splash pool for small children. • Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. We had a lovely stay and left feeling refreshed. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

This hotel benefits from an ideal location in Bloemfontein, a great breakfast, and a staff that is excellent—professional, friendly, and proactive. However, the experience is significantly let down by the outdated and aging facilities. Areas Needing Immediate Attention: · Pervasive Odors: Musty smells from old carpets permeate the rooms. The offered solution was a humidifier, not remediation. · Dilapidated Bathrooms: The guest toilets are run-down and outdated. · Poor Shower Function: Old, calcified shower heads provide uneven and unsatisfactory water distribution. · General Condition: The entire property feels outdated and in need of modernization.
