Finding halal/veg dishes in a Mongolian restaurant is almost impossible so I am adding a few restaurants in UB that serve vegetarian dishes. Taj Mahal is located on the 6th floor of the Ulaanbataar (UB) Hotel. I found it convenient to dine/take-out from this restaurant as I was staying at the same hotel and it was Ramadan. I don't think the meat is halal. They also serve alcohol and pork. The veg dishes were above average. You have to pay cash as they do not charge the meal to your room.
