Athens Grill

I posted this restaurant, or at least, requested that this restaurant be added to the Ottawa Restaurant list, ONLY after I made the call to the Restaurant, and I was informed by someone at the other end of the Phone, that the Beef and the Chicken used are Halal. For the record, I did not attend the restaurant, nor did I eat at it. Who exactly that person is at the other end of the phone, I don't know. If this establishment cannot stand by the Halal Verification it has given me, then I don't believe it should be kept in the Ottawa Area Listing. I may have been mislead, and in turn, mislead others, and for that, I apologize for any inconveniences. -Ali

I went there the day the email was sent to me advising that this restaurant was Halal. I asked the person working behind the counter if the food was Halal. The person replied that he did not know and that he only works there. I was very disapointed in his reply. Suffice it to say that we left immediatly and seeked out a true Halal establishement.

Wonderful food! The chef was very welcoming and also the atmosphere. The place is very clean and everyone is super nice! We ordered a variety of food and absolutely loved every single one of them ... We got the grape leaves (dolmades) and I highly recommend them as a side dish! Comes with pita and they are very tasty!
