Mediterranean favorites get the quick-serve treatment at this halal & vegan-friendly Loop spot, which caters to a lunch-time crowd. The counter-service set-up allows for total customization: Start with a Lebanese roll, golden rice, salad or a bed of hummus, then add beef or chicken shawarma, kefta kabob (grilled lamb) or falafels. Top it off with the sauce of your choice from a list that includes tahini, raita (spiced yogurt sauce) and spicy tomato. Sides such as dolmas, fattoush and lentil soup are available too, and in the morning there's a small Med-inspired breakfast menu with options like a shawarma omelet and falafelette, chopped falafels mixed up with scrambled eggs. Visited during the month of August from Miami Florida ,ordered CHICKEN SHAWARMA , GYRO and KEFTA KEBAB. First about the restaurant : Nice and clean , lighting was plenty , ambience was great and positive , Restrooms were clean . Service : Pleasant and positive . Pricing : reasonable NOW THE FOOD : well we were very hungry and wanted a halal place , we searched on Zabiha.com and found this place , we ordered just enough food so we can get by the evening and goto some halal desi restaurant later at night . To my surprise my family and I ended up over eating at this joint . TABOULI QUINOA SALAD was great , Hummus was tasty and so was everything , what i liked was everything was fresh. highly recommend this place to everyone and if you like clean and healthy fresh food in a great environment then this is the place to visit.
Wow this is some delicious halal food here at good price. The place is clean and service was great, so worth a stop if ever near by.
Omgawd this place snapps. It's like halal Arab chipotle. I really wanna go there again. iA next time I'm in the city. Please pay them a visit, brothers and sisters!
This is their 3rd branch in the loop. Its smaller than the one at 112 W monroe, but the great part is that its open on the weekends too! Great addition to Chicago Halal restaurants! Seems like Loop is getting stuffed with Falafels...there is Roti and Subway also serves Falafel Sub now so I think competition is going to be tough!
