About Café Le Raj

Caf le Raj was first established in 1990, in Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, by Mr Badsha Mia (known to his guests as Alam). Café le Raj in Henley-on-Thames is his second restaurant, opened after the continued success of the original Café le Raj. Mr Badsha Mia started to work in catering in the Karachi Sheraton Hotel in Pakistan, then he moved to his home country of Bangladesh where he worked in various restaurants as a chef. Before long he took an opportunity to join the team at the prestigious Kuwait Sheraton Hotel and eventually he moved to the UK, working as a chef in some of the most well-known and long-established restaurants before deciding to start his own business.
