Visited here on our trip to Chicago. Amazing food. We got the kabob platter. The mango habanero chicken was awesome, especially with the sweet chutney and so was the bihari kabob. Great naan, and mango shake. Really good quality fresh food. Good set up. Nice staff. I am skeptical about desi people and discounts, so I confirmed with our waiter if they accept their groupon deal. He said yes, I purchased it right in front of him. He went to ring up our bill and the \"uncle\" decided to deny the discount. So after an amazing meal, I was a bit disappointed. I would still go back. Mmmm, yummy. I wish more desi restaurants would invest in their establishment and service like this. Taking away 1 star because of the \"uncle.\"
Finally a good BBQ restaurant at Devon. Grilled/BBQ items are excellent. Number of grill combos available for selection. Not too impressed by their gravies/masala dishes. Service was average.
Hands down the best bbq in town. We had their platter#2 with parathas and was enough for 2 people. Everything was very well seasond and cooked to perfection. Would recommend to any one who wants to explore true Pakistani bbq taste, which in my opinion is far superior to the middle eastern kabobs or the american bbq any given day.
Anmol at lunch was delicious, quick, and authentic. Two of us enjoyed veal biryani and chicken chargha, and had enough leftovers for one dinner too. Nice papadam appetizer, and the naan was as perfect as I remember. Service was attentive and friendly; perhaps there have been changed since the comments left last year. We also learned about their guaranteed halal meats, because they own the farm. Don't miss out: kashmiri chai is an experience in itself!
Grilled items are excellent, however the service leaves much to be desired. Food is always very late (40+ minutes), this is something I have observed several times over a few years so this isn't a one-off occurrence. Also, if you order chai or lassi, they never ever give it to you while you're eating, but while you pay the check. Why they do this baffles me. When you try to cancel the lassi/chai because you're leaving, they insist you take it since "it's ready". They don't seem to get that the point is to have it with the meal, or they do this deliberately. Also, keep an eye out for what you're being charged - there are often "mistakes" where you get charged for extra naan or drinks. All of these issues occurred on my last visit a few weeks ago, so unfortunately I have to say I've given up on this place.
Food is average - Third time coming here so its okay but the food is just overpriced for the amount and quality but probably will be the last time coming the Managerial staff is just rude... Im not sure if its because I dont speak the language... or what the actual staff was very polite.
Average/less than average food. Tried their platter, chicken item was half cooked! Replaced with another chicken item, it was still half cooked! Didn't meet my expectations, and def overpriced.
Better bbq compare to lot o places
Good bbq food. Better than khan bbq
Their rolls are really good, and their "platter"s are also okay although over-priced. but the taste of the food is too spicy to the point that you taste Garam Masala and other masala instead of the food. I told the waiter that the food is too spicy, he then poked his finger in my dish grabbed a chicken and ate it then said "no, it's not that spicy" ... so ... there you go!
Devon has a lot of BBQ restaurants but Anmol is really a special place. As far as I know, this is the ONLY place in Devon where you can eat organic halal meat. The menu also assures that the animals are hand-slaughtered. The range of grilled items is huge with plenty of kebobs that I had never heard of. We were also surprised by how delicious the non-grilled items were (like the chicken karahi). Anmol is also the only restaurant that I have been to on Devon where the owner actually came out and met with the customers - he made small-talk with us and our baby, which was a pleasant part of the evening. If you order ahead, they will have the food ready and a table reserved but plenty of people ordered after they arrived.
