About Xinjiang Crescent Moon
A Uighur Muslim Restaurant. 100 m west of Chaonei Beixiaojie. Possibly the best Xinjiang joint in town, featuring delicious, homemade yoghurt, this king of the kebabs also boasts a friendly all-Uighur staff and is as authentic as it gets. Look out for the moustached manager who's always there sucking on a hookah in this courtyard gem.

Excellent Uighur restaurant with good service. We tried the lamb kebabs and a dish called chopped noodles: square-cut noodles (like little ravioli noodles) with onions, peppers, and chicken in a spicy sauce. Both were excellent and the waitresses also let us pray in a beautiful private room in the back of the restaurant.
