Good Ambience but food is average, very clean, good service but meat has no taste.
Very good food and nice ambiance too. People complain about portion size but I thought it was just fine. Baklava was also quite tasty and not overly sweet. Wait staff were very polite and attentive. The waiter's phone went off with the azan so you know they are practicing Muslims also. We will definitely be back.
Went here for lunch with some coworkers, this place is an embarrasment! The portion size is RIDICULOUS! Especially for the price! Yes, the food is tasty, but what killed it for me and was the portion size. ALL of my coworkers complained about it! And i\'m not a big person either and neither are my colleagues! We thought the dinner plates were bigger so we started looking at the dinner menu, but we were informed they are the same size! I can not believe none of the other reviewers have complained about portion size! Looks like the other reviews are very old so that\'s probably why! It\'s hardly filling! It also took a good 1/2 hour for our orders to arrive, and they got some of the orders wrong or missed giving us what was included in the order! Will never return here again!
It was my first time at this place as a Turkish person and had the horibllest experience in my entire life. They have no clue about serving. I called them before I get there and wanted to place my order but answer was \'\'YOU CAN GIVE THE ORDER WHEN YOU GET HERE\'\'. I gave the order and took almost 45 min for me to start having my dinner...AVOIDE THIS PLACE.. EVEN THOUGHT I SUGGEST TURKISH FOOD, DEFINITELY NOT THIS PLACE!
Good food. IMO, the price is average for Turkish food (I have never found anything cheaper). Portions were fine for the price. Their "pizza" flat bread with minced meat and bottom of the pot pudding role was something unique and delicious.
It's pricey but the decor is good and service is good and food is good. The food is better if u r eating in.
Great food and great service. The bread they serve before you get your entrees is always fresh and phenomenal. Highly recommend this place.
I have been that place couple times. First of all I know the owner is well known muslim and they have halal menu. Second even though they do not sell alcohol, they let people to bring their drink which is not a big deal. It's very authentic place and good for family and quality is one of the best in this area. They have all kind of Turkish me ooh
Good food for the price. Service is good as well!
This restaurant is marvelous. I'm going there since I discovered this place. Even though I am a picky person, I am satisfied with both service and the food. First of all, this restaurant has an impressive ambiance. There are many traditional stuff on the wall. They have a special table to make Turkish coffee. They are mostly playing soothing music. These kind of music may be preferred after a tiring day. Secondly, waiters and waitresses are warm blooded, courteous, and debonaire. I think, all of them are educated people. The food is both scrumptious and fresh. The owner told me that they baked their desserts daily. The portions are quite large compared to the prices. Undoubtedly, the food is halal, because they showed me their certificate. I do not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to my friends.
I have been to this restaurant many times. Unfortunately I realized that people drink alcohol (I have seen wines and white Turkish drink called "Raki") in this restaurant. They may not sell it directly but they allow people to bring their alcoholic drinks, which disqualifies this restaurant as alcohol free. This is not an honest way of business ... Other than that the prices are very expensive compared to the quality of the food and the service. Waiters/ waitresses are very rude. They don't have group discounts. Unfortunately in my opinion, they are trying to rip off people and abusing the trust of our people...
This is the best turkish food in this area. I went with my wife and she loved the food. she is Italian american.
Great food, very warm and friendly service. Will definitely go there again.
Have been here a few times since it opened a few months ago. Service is inconsistent especially from management, they seem to more engaged on being on the internet or on their cell phone. Standard fare and ambiance, food is okay and the portions are okay, prices are decent. They give you plenty of bread to fill you up. Not terrible and not great, consider it a viable option in the variety of options available in that area. Coupons are available in the local coupon clipper type magazines.
Really good food and at a good price. The portions are huge and everything i've had is really good. Try the combo platter its got everything.
I've been to Istanbul a few times now, once dining in and twice for take out. My experience with the food was positive each time, even with a group of 12 people including kids. The food is delicious and better than some of the turkish restaurants I've been to in Paterson. I recommend the Iskander kabob or the mixed grill. Looking forward to trying more on their menu. If you're taking a group, make a reservation, because it gets busy on the weekends. I also tried one of their desserts, which was an almond shaped pastry that tasted like harisa. Delicious, but very heavy. The dinner portions are large enough that you don't really have room for dessert!
This person above obviously works or owns it, the place opened less then a month ago and theres no way they tried everything there.. I ordered a gyro, on their advertisement they show a picture of lamb on the upright spinning grill , there were only two other tables and it took 30 min for the food ! No way it takes that long to FRESHLY cut from the grill and put salad inside a pita. After playing with my iphone , First bite, The wrap was super tough, dry and tasteless . Meat was extra dry , and they gave Tatziki sauce in a tiny dipping cup filled half way. Ketchup was given in miniature plastic ketchup cup "to go" style with the lid on LoL How does a "Restaurant" bring your food out wrapped in aluminum foil ? ON A PLATE LoL WoW youre kidding .... Service ..... yea..... the entire staff except the "COOK" sat at the back table talking..... 1/10
Fantastic food. Reminded me the time I was in Istanbul. Try the Istanbul combination or the adana kebob. In fact every thing is good in this restaurant including the service.
