Nirvana

Came in at lunch for the buffet. At $14 including taxes, I guess it is a little expensive. The food was pretty good nonetheless, a special mention for the bread!

Food was delicious. Kinda pricey though.

Jan 2012: The food is definitely tasty and fresh. I ordered the Rogan Josh. I got 2 free naans with it with very tasty raita, salad and rice and 3 poppadums. The cost of the dishes are almost $20 but for the decor and atmosphere, I want to say it is almost worth the price. There are very few places in Houston where you can take your family out to a NICE restaurant for HALAL desi food. This restaurant caters to a whole different kind of clientele due to it's location. Not your typical joint on hilcroft. I will update when I try the other dishes. Advice to Saleem Uncle: Remove the alcohol. Update feb 2012: I tried the lamb biryani but I have to say I was not impressed. The biryani could use a little more meat for $20. Taste-wise, it's not worth the money either but then again, they give you other extras like salad, raita, paapad, chutneys. I also confirmed that they don't SELL alcohol. They allow you to bring your own from home though (BYOB).

Overpriced, Very expensive, small portions. Horrible Music. It is a clean place tho.

I come here for the lunch buffet once in a while. I believe it is $12 or $13. I find it to be a refreshing change from the normal pakistani buffets, because they have a variety of vegetable dishes. In addition to the vegetable dishes, they usually have a seafood dish, a grilled chicken (usually tandoori chicken), one goat dish, some chicken dishes, pakore, papad, salads, and 2 desserts. The only issue is that because their clientele is 95% non-south asian, they mostly use boneless chicken for their buffet. I've only been here once for dinner. For dinner, it is the most expensive halal restaurant in Houston, but they have generous portions, and rice is included. Dinner dishes, if I recall correctly, average around $20/dish. Service is excellent, and they will go out of their way to accommodate you and your guests. They even let a friend bring his own food, because he can't eat at the restaurant for religious reasons.
