Kwantu is the only halal private game reserve in the Eastern Cape. They have the big 5 including a predator area with lions and an elephant sanctuary. The restaurant has fabulous views of the bush and the food is very good. Lunch is a 3-5 course meal and delicious. No alcohol is allowed on the premises and the waiters are very attentive.
This review is a few years late, had posted several years ago when we visited, just never got around to writing... What can I say other than that it was simply super. From being welcomed and enjoying the super large luxurious room to the superb meals was just a fraction of the hospitality afforded to us. Our girls enjoyed the game drives as much as we did. I could probably write much more, but would rather say that one has to experience it oneself to see and enjoy and appreciate.
Kind and professional staff, beautiful setup and of course stunning nature and wildlife. Was so impressed with how conscious they were about the fact that I am vegetarian. They kept any meat separated from the veg let's not forget everything I ate was absolutely mouthwatering. Wonderful experience. The drive was so beautiful and we not only learnt so much but we saw breathtaking moments.
Awesome luxurious property. The staff was so helpful, the food was amazing, and the owner personally met us to serve good hospitality.. definitely i will recommend it to all of my friends and family... For the safari they have 6000 acres land, animals also wild. it's a beautiful place to see sunset also.
Establishment with a very nice vibe. Very tidy and with attention to details. The fires they keep going add a nice touch and smell good. The game drive with our guide Ali G was memorable, and we got to see plenty of animals up close. Ali was entertaining and knowledgeable, and was good at finding out the animals. Food was tasty and varied. Can recommend!
My wife and myself recently celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary and decided to just get away and enjoy some alone time. We received a heartfelt welcome by the front staff and to our surprise they laid out a happy anniversary flower arrangements on our bed. I attached the picture, it says a thousand words. The food was delicious from the welcome snack, the lunch and the supper. We even had a high tea after our game drive. The game drive was our highlight as we had a small incident with a male rhino, but our game ranger was totally knowledgeable and in control of the situation. We were very lucky to have seen , a rhino male in action. We saw lions , giraffe, elephants, wildebeest, impala, springbok, zebras and even jackals with their cubs. It was absolutely amazing. An experience of a lifetime.
