This restaurant has been authorized Halal by an Islamic organization. Per April 10, 2011 GBK website, the chicken used for burgers is Halal and is cooked in 100% rapeseed oil in a fryer specified for chicken only, however the grilled chicken used for salads and kebobs are cooked on the same grill as the bacon. The beef, lamb, and venison are not Halal. GBK does not offer halal Grilled Chicken as an option.

Be careful you're very limited in your choice of halal at GBP. It is only the fried chicken burger (breaded) that is halal which can leave you with a narrow choice! The quality is however good and price reasonable.

The food was excellent, staff were the friendliest we had come across in Edinburgh - courteous, upbeat and helpful. Really enjoyed our meal here.
