they served alcohol and the menu is halal? yeah right.

We went for lunch on a sunday. The food was okay but very expensive. Plus, the main feature in the restaurant is its bar. I was told that the buffet is excellent but it was not available on the day we went. The staff was very friendly and I was expecting the type of food we would get when we would cater from this place. Unfortunately, it was not the same and very expensive. Maybe I went on an off time.

I read all the good reviews about this place below here, and went there with my family. All of us found it not so special. I would give it 3 out of 5 for food and I couldn't recommend it to friends. My favorites in LA area are: al-watan, al-noor, red chili and Tawakel.

Went to this place after visiting Santa Monica. I believe it's upstairs and parking is free after validation. Had the briyani and tandoori platter, both were really good. The manager was also Muslim and very friendly. Nice comfortable restaurant, must try if you are around that area.

This restaurant is top notch in all aspects. The food is AMAZING and guaranteed halal, the decor is beautiful and the bathrooms are clean, and the service and hospitality of the owners is beyond gracious...it is what all Muslim restaurants should strive to be like. I had dinner here one night..had the tandoori fish and rice and daal, and I loved it so much that I returned one day for the delicious lunch buffet. It is now my favorite halal Indian restaurant in LA!

Great restaurant, food, location, and service

This is place is one for best Zabihah Indian restaurants I have been to. The setting and ambiance are great and the place is very neat and clean. The food is well prepared and cooked, not to mention delicious. I had the chicken Biryani with Chicken Tika Masala and it was fabulous. They also have an $8 all you can eat lunch buffet. The owner and staff provide excellent customer service and they also validate parking if you park in the garage. They offer free Delivery to Westwood, Brentwood, Santa Monica and give a 10% to UCLA students as well. This is a restaurant that is top of the line -- You have to go to it.

I came here with a friend who found out that this restaurant recently became halal. It's awesome to have a halal Indian restaurant close to UCLA when a lot of the other places are only partially halal. Food's pretty tasty too. The new owner said that they are in the process of lowering prices and getting rid of the bar. They have brought in a new chef and some new staff. Parking is free on the weekends.
