A halal certificate is clearly visible on the premises.. Only chicken and beef is Zabihah.

Note that they declare that only the chicken and lamb are halal. They do serve pork but are cognizant of the contamination concern of their muslim clientele and indicate they keep everything separate. Food is pretty tasty, I especially love their roti kanai.
Talked with the waiter and the lamb and chicken are halal. The beef is no longer halal. Food was okay. Had the spicy lamb shank and mango chicken. Was not a fan of the spicy lamb shank, the mango chicken was okay.
After calling the establishment they mentioned that the chicken and beef are zabiha halal and they keep the pork separate from the other meat. In any event the food was excellent. I ordered the chicken satay and curry mee which were solid.
This outlet listing in this website is questionable because they serve pork
I am sure the food is good based on reviews, however why is this restaurant on here as they serve Pork items on their menu?
Penang has excellent food, and is different enough from the usual halal tastes to drive out to. The decor is clean and tasteful, and food is prepared fresh. Service could be faster, but they do a good job tending to your needs. We hosted a party here and were satisfied with the service, pricing, quality, and selections. Definitely worth your time to check Penang out, especially if you remember that they used to be in Chinatown years ago.
Went with family. Asked for Halal meal. Chef and owner came out and assured us that everything would be guaranteed Halal. All I can say is we were glad we went. What a culinary experience. Great Curry Laksa, beef Randang and Satays. Mango chicken was something to cherish every bite of. Two thumbs way up.
My family was in the area and decided to try this restaurant. The food was good, and I can recommend the mango chicken. However, dinner prices were fairly expensive for the quantity. Waitstaff was polite and prompt. It was also quite clean.
I just love the roti canai! That's all I go for.
I just called this place and the woman told me that only their chicken and beef is Zabihah
FYI- when I called to check if the meat is zabiha, person stated they buy the meat from Restaurant Depot.
very good food, must have their fresh made malaysian style paratha roti with thier qorma! excellent
A very good ambiance and good service. Must try the fish there it is absolutely delicious
I have not tried it and believe me I want to, but things to keep in mind: 1) they serve pork ( I called and asked it they use the same oil and they said no, but sounded kinda shady)- the thai muslim owner of a thai restaurant in NYC told me that almost 99% of thai restaurants fry in the same oil as pork b/c it makes it taste better. 2) no where on the website does it say halal 3) they prepare some dishes with wine as on their website.
Good Food, Penang Malaysian, Chinesse Cuisine. Family and Kids Friendly. Recommend this restaurant to every one. Please let the waiters know that you would like Halaal, Cuz they will use Veg oil instead of Animal Oil. Due to american eating there they use Animal Oil unless told about halaal perp.
