The owners are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status.. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Zebda offers Mediterranean food with modern, fusion twists. This restaurant takes classic middle-eastern food and changes the recipes slightly to create unique dishes like couscous-crusted salmon, ziti with merguez sausage, or their tagine of the day. There are also plenty of deli sandwiches like the balsamic glazed steak sandwich, the tandoori chicken sandwich, or the option to build your own using Zebda's unique selection of deli meats, cheeses, and condiments. Everything is halal and it all springs from the minds of two trained and experienced chefs. Open daily, 10am-10pm.

I had the chicken kabab platter for lunch yesterday and it was really good and great value for around $7. Service is also friendly and quick. They also allow you to pay after you eat, in this way you are able to adjust your tip accordingly.
Have seats now. Owned by algerians. Solid place, fast, clean, good daily specials
I had steak sandwich which was strictly Okay! I have had much better! There are few things on menu which are very hard to find at zabihah establishments which is such nice such as lasagna, stuffed chicken etc. Would like to try them!
Only takeaway but don't let that fool you: this is one of the few zabihah places in Chicago where the cooks are actually trained chefs. The menu fuses Latin-American, Indian, Middle-eastern and other cuisines to create really interesting and unique dishes. This is the kind of food that you would have to go to a non-zabiha place in Lincoln Park to get; instead it's halal and down the street from MCC. We had the lamb brochette, chicken panini, merguez sausage panini, balsamic steak sandwich, and the kefta flatbread pizza. Everything was delicious and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients like fresh spinach and feta. Take one look at the menu and you'll realize taht this is a very unique place that we will return to.
This deli is excellent. Tried 2 different sandwiches and 2 different salads and the chicken zebda dish. Everything was very good. Same owner as tasili. Everything is Halal.
