Went there yesterday. The food was really nice especially the bolani in the appetizers :) The prices were very reasonable as well. Nice ambience and a good location. I would rate it 3.5/5 The only difficulty we had was to get there. As per the location shown here on the map the restaurant was closer to the metro station Ostbahnhof. However, it was NO WHERE close to that place. It took us a good hour on foot in the snow to get to the desired location and that too very near to the place where we were living! Anyways, the correct directions to the place are as follows: Take a sub and go to Rosenheimer platz. Take an exit toward "Holiday Inn city center". Go out in the street and it is right around the corner on the left side. The address is 6, Rosenheimer and the approximate coordinates are 48.1315*, 11.5892*.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with sufficient seating area and located very close to Holiday Inn on Hochstrasse. The food was nothing to write home about but I have had better Afghani food. It was freshly prepared and eatable. Would I go there again? YES. As for hala, I simply asked the manager if it was halal and his reply was "this is afghani restaurant and we are muslims" so I ate there without any further questioning. He could have been a bit courteous as a simple "yes" is sufficient for me. By the way halal sign is not on display anywhere in the restaurant or on the menu. Thankfully he was not serving as there was another waitress. For slow service I would not blame the waitress but all I can say is things were slow. I ordered chicken & lamb botis - chicken was ok but lamb was not properly cooked.

GoogleWe were here for a group dinner. Very nice atmosphere and good service. Location easy to reach. Food was good. Portion size could be a bit larger.

GoogleThe food was very tasty and full of flavor. The service was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was quite crowded, so pre-booking is recommended. The ambience is cozy and calming. As we were fasting, they kindly offered us complimentary dates and gulab jamun, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended! 😊

GoogleWe tried to eat here two times without a reservation and both times it was fully booked. This made us very curious, like how good the food can be? So we went to find out (with reservation) and oh boy! The food was incredible. It was our first time trying Afghan food and we ordered 5 different things (number 11, 23 and 36 from the menu). Everything tasted unique, nothing like we’ve ever eaten before. I especially recommend this side dish called “Borani Badenjan”. I think it was the best eggplant dish ever! Without knowing we ordered it twice, first as an appetiser and later as the side of our main dish but we were so happy about this mistake cause we got to eat it again. From our experience you have to have a reservation to eat here. And maybe checking out the menu ahead is a good idea. Because as far as I know the reservation is for a limited time and personally we spent like 20 mins to decide what to eat. Also the service is a bit slow since the restaurant is always full.

GoogleVisited for dinner last week. The restaurant was overcrowded; however, we had a reservation. The food was good but not worth the hype. The price was a bit on the higher side. Good vibes overall, had a nice time there.

GoogleI recently visited this wonderful Afghani restaurant with colleagues, and it was an absolute delight. We had to try the special Afganische Reise, and it did not disappoint; every type of meat on the platter was cooked to absolute perfection. Every single dish we tried was incredibly flavourful and aromatic, truly standing out as some of the best cuisine I have experienced in a long while. The kind and attentive staff made the experience even more enjoyable. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable meal. A five-star experience really.
