About Hunkar

Hunkar means Sultan in Turkish. At Hunkar Restaurant, the menu mainly consists of items which originate from the traditional cuisine of Turkey. "Hunkar" was founded in 2006, by the Cil Family and is still being run by the same family today. Master Chef Mehmet Cil, along with his son Gokhan and his wife Emine, creates excellent dishes in the kitchen while his daughters, Suheybe and Sumeyye, make sure service runs smoothly in the dining room.

Food was excellent but service really disappointed me. First I made a reservation and when came nobody new anything and me and my friends were waiting when they decide to seat us in a pretty much empty room. Not a single time they asked how the food was or did we need anything. I tried to ask for check desperately but the waitresses tried not to notice us real hard. Food is good and expensive. Service is bad and sadly screw up opinion about such a nice upscale place.
