Just an FYI to those who are bothered by this: this place has a bar and reeks of hookah. I don't really consider this place halal regardless of their meat source.
So, full disclosure, I have not been here before. I needed to cater for work, and found this place on Zabihah.com. I decided to just trust my instincts and go for it. It was a hit! The food was above average. Nowhere near the best gyros and stuff I\'ve had. But for the price, the food was pretty good and well portioned. They definitely need to work on the quality of the food, but I feel like they\'re on the path to success iA!
Food is okay, not amazing, nothing that will blow you away. I do wish to caution the people about this places, as I have been here on multiple occasions with friends in the evenings. I find it strange that without skipping a beat is always sitting outside with a bottle of Corona in his hand, he laughs and jokes while chugging down the drink. Now, one night in particular, he was sitting there and we happened to talk - I asked him if the meats here were halal, and he said 'OF COURSE' passionately, 'We will not serve anything that wasn't!' --- he then takes a chug out of his beer...now that got my head spinning a bit. I am sure the meat is halal, it has been verified by quite a few people, but come on man drinking beer as the owner and sitting out daily, what kind of message are you sending the folks about your place. I have not gone back in a while as their noise level has gone up quite a bit, with the loud music and the off beat crowd. I would rather spend time at any other place. To discuss the food though; their pita bread cannot be beat! They make it fresh, it comes out puffy, hot, and perfectly cooked. It goes great with the hummus they have. The kabobs are okay, but the bread is amazing. Outdoor seating is plentiful and comfortable, considering metal chairs. They have free wifi, which comes in handy if you want to hang out and get some work done in the late evening hours and don't feel like sitting at home. Overall I would give them 3 stars, remove the drunken owner, turn the knob on the music down a tad, and kick up the kabobs a bit and I would rate this place a 5.
Fun place to smoke hookah and the food is tasty. It gets too crowded on the weekends making the staff not as available. Had to wait for 20 minutes each time when trying to find an employee. Other than that, it's good!
Horrible place. Very bad service is food is overpriced and small in portion. Most people go there for hookah, but believe me there are other good hookah and Mediterranean food place in the area. Save your money and time and go to those other places.
Some of their items are Halal. You have ask. Food is not great. I have eaten much better Lebanese good. Not returning to this place again
This restaurant seems to be very popular, perhaps being the only Lebanese cuisine in the area. Our family did not enjoy the food as everything tasted sour and not to our liking. Above all, given the type of restaurant, the prices are steep, not to mention the excessive default gratuity. I will not return to this restaurant. The chef and waiter were very courteous.
I visited this place after reading so many brilliants reviews. Here's what I experienced: 1) Extremely high prices 2) A waitress who was not satisfied with the amount of food we were ordering - this sort of belittling is unacceptable 3) A below par rotisserie chicken And by the way, I don't understand why there is so much glowing praise for the GYROS - THEY ARE NOT HALAL.
I was not amazed by the food. Rotisserie chicken was not good at all. Loved the fresh bread. Waiter told us that everything is halal except Gyro. They do serve Alcohol on premises.
Consistently Solid! Never been disappointed
I went here for lunch and it was excellent. I had the Gyros sandwich which tasted great. It was cooked well and so were the fries. The service was top of the line as all of the staff was were very friendly (they even gave free refills on my soda). The place was not only neat and clean, but it also had a very nice atmosphere and setting as it was decorated beautifully and had a cozy atmosphere (even the bathrooms were really nice). The prices were decent and I hope to return to try their lunch buffet.
Good tasty food -- neard ADAMS Masjid. I tried the Kofta Kabab sandwich and it was tasty. They also have weekday lunch buffet for $10, which the other people in our group tried. The buffet has a pretty decent selection which I will try next time.
al-Salamu Alikum, I've read the reviews about this place, and I have to say that I was worried after I read the last one from Sister Sahar, but I wanted to give this place a try, and al-Hamdulillah, I'm VERY happy that I did. When I went there yesterday, I talked to the owner and addressed my concerns about the Halal issue, and the brother was very kind to show me the Halal stamp on the box he gets from the Meat distributer, along with showing me that he did indeed have a very simple sign on the front window showing that he has Halal, he added that he didn't want to make it too flashy because unfortunately some Non-Muslim customers might be confused to what that meant; and I have to agree, for I have met some that did indeed not know what Halal was!? As far as food portions (I have to add that I'm a big guy) the food al-Hamdulillah was MORE than enough for me, and price wise it was very reasonable in comparison to other restaurants I've been to with my family, and on top of that, two of my three kids even eat for just pennies, because they have a promotion right now during the week, where kids only pay 1 penny for each pound they weigh! My daughter was very happy when they weighed her, Masha Allah, she thought it was fun! So brothers and sisters, if you would like a nice Halal meal for a nice price, I would truly advice you Inshaa Allah to visit this place. al-Salamu Alikum.
Ive tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but each time i go the portions shrink. The shawarma doesnt have enough meat in it. The Rotisserie chicken is over priced and to be honest not really sure if they serve halal. The manager/owner said they dont display to avoid turning non muslims off. But they should have a certificate to show people if they ask. Dont think i'l be going back.
This is one of the BEST Lebnese Restaurant around. The food is at market price (Starting form $3 upto $20). Their Shwarma is GREAT (Both chicken and Beef/Lamb), Hummus and Baba Ghanoush rocks, and their Sheesh Tawooq is die for. Unlike most Middle Eastern Places, this place also has less expensive Kids Menu for kids (I got mini sheesh tawooq for my 6 year old, which comes with Fries and Hummus for just around $7). The owners are very friendly and they have appitizer like Zaatar, Jimna and Lahm Jimna. The ambiance is Posh (almost) and very clean. They also offer Shisha. There is a medium size middle eastern super market attached with the restuarant. MUST TRY! They also offer Hukka/Shisha, but only in the seatings outside the restuarant.
