It's you typical Peruvian Chicken joint great food and variety but the green sauce is by far the best I've had!
Super dry and tasteless chicken. If it wasn't for the honey mustard I would have had a hard time eating the chicken.
Great chicken
Love the Peruvian chicken here. It is my favorite go to meal when I need to pick up something for dinner fast. It is very affordable compared to other fast food options. They have tasty steak and cheese sandwiches. According to management you have to request halal steak if you want that. I have used them for party catering and both times it has turned out well. The chicken is loved by all my guests.
My wife and I to try their food, chicken was good, my wife and I enjoyed it
The chicken and fries are great. Side dishes suck, as does the dining area. It may seemed overpriced (esp given that u will need to order a half chicken per person), but where else can you find halal south american-style chicken?
Great food for people looking for different options. Just wish that staff is trained better to explain that steak is not halal. They have clearly indicated with signs that chicken is halal so even asking was a mistake at our part. Rotassiere chicken and burrito were delicious.
Pretty good food. Very small. It gets very hot in the summer time. Food is delicious and people are nice. Chicken burrito and falafel are great.
We were vacationing in the DC area this past weekend and heard about this place from friends so we decided to check it out. The food was excellent! We ordered the Rotisserie Chicken along with the Pollo (chicken) Saltado and Lomo (Lamb) Saltado, which were also very tasty. The rotisserie chicken was cooked to perfection and was so tender that it literally just melted in your mouth! It came along with 2 sides, Yucca and Plantains (which were pretty good, except that the Yucca was a little too dry for my taste). I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are in the area! Also, try out their drinks, Purple Corn and Tamarind.
I have never been disappointed when eating here. Food is delicious and it's great to have a halal option that goes beyond kabobs and rice. Thanks to the owners for providing delicious food to us halal seekers!
food is great! sometimes a little salty but atmosphere is very dirty - order take out!
First off Peruvian and not Brazilian. I visited Cocorico during ramadhan and we shared a quarter chicken with yucca and fries along with the pollo saltado. We also had an Inka Cola. The chicken was extremely moist and the portions were a good size for my appetite. I am sure others would probably prefer the half chicken, but the 1/4 was fine for me. The chicken was served with a yellow and green sauce of which I much preferred the green. Still, something was missing. I felt like some good american hot sauce would have been nice but overall it was a good value and pretty good food. The restaurant is fast casual with self seating and pickup. The ambiance is very basic and feels very ethnic/family owned.
I'm addicted to this place. When I first discovered it I literally ate here everyday for like 2 weeks straight. The chicken is just amazingly good. Very tender and flavorful. Get the mashed potatoes! Best side on the menu. They've added a bunch of other halal options recently, but the regular charcoal chicken is still the best thing they have. The staff is pretty good, very friendly. You get your food very, very fast normally and it's pretty affordable. Can't really beat it.
some of the best rotisserie ive ever had in my life.. add some yuca and theres a party in your mouth Great food at Great Prices!
Warning: Only the chicken is Halal. The food was great! Moist chicken, perfectly fried yuca and awesome salads are what you can expect at Coco Rico. :)
Great place for eating BBQ chickens, clean, bright, good parking space, family friendly, awesome chicken wings, good rice, stake
Delicious Rotisserie Chicken... better than the Tandisserie Chicken @ Merzi
I had the quarter white meat. Yes delicious, but the upcharge made the bill over my budget of $5. I'll definitely be back for a whole chicken with cassava. Delish, just bring some money.
Get the red meat with lots of chilli sauce and eat it there, while its hot. Lowest priced chicken anywhere! Your receipt doubles as a short-term coupon!
I saw the reviews and checked this place out. It's kinda small but a nice quaint place, and the staff is friendly. I've had the half chicken, which is decent, and the burrito, which is by far the best thing they have on the menu.
This place is AMAZING! We had the whole rotisserie chicken. The green chili sauce packs a punch. The chicken is moist and delicioso. For dessert, try the 3 leches if you like trifle pudding.
We had the rotissirie style chicken, it was wonderful, so moist and well seasoned. A whole chicken with cassava chips & side salad was around $15. We will definately be back!
Good tasty food. This place serves rotisserie style chicken. It is very flavorful snd juicy. Comes in 1/4, 1/2 and whole sizes. Additionally, Coco Rico serves chicken, falafel and cheesestaek sandwiches. Make sure you try the green chili hot sauce! As stated above, the chicken and sandwiches are above average, however the real treasure found at this establishment is the spicy hot wings! Definitely one of the best I've had in the area. Serves as a very good starter to your meal. We will return.
Chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy. Very clean inside. Extremely affordable and flavorful food. I will definetly return.
