We have already eaten at this location a few times and are glad to be able to consume KFC quality fried chicken. (I find the competitors to be too greasy/salty). We make a special stop in Brooklyn during our NY visits just to be able to eat here. Note: the sandwiches etc. and gravy for mashed potatoes is not halal and they share the facility with taco bell (bacon is served). I am told from the quality is not up to par with non-halal KFC chicken but I cannot confirm this since I don't eat non-zabihah. However, I have no problems with it and I like it fine the way it is.

CAUTION! The chicken in this KFC outlet is NOT HALAL. The chicken is not Zabiha as confirmed by my conversation with the owner. For a lot of muslims, theres only Halal or haraam, there's no half halal. Any animal that has not been slaughtered as per the sharia i.e., proper zabiha is not halal. Some brothers/sisters are welcome to have an otherwise opinion and disagree with me, but atleast specify that its not zabiha so that no muslim gets misinformed and offended (spiritually) by eating it.

Okay so it's a semi halal KFC, is the food good depending when u go. This isn't a clean kfc and it's overall expensive.. And they serve bacon cause they share the kitchen with a taco bell..

It is unfortunate that the sandwiches aren't yet Halal but the chicken is a good first step forward. I grew up in Toronto and we were fortunate to have a lot of Halal Popeyes around. The sitting area is very good. You can certainly sit there and eat it fresh if you'd like.

I couldn't believe it at first that there was a halal KFC in ny because believe it or not i was once willing to drive to Toronto to get some! So as soon as I heard the news, I drove there very excitingly and ordered two big buckets of fried chicken! But beware, not everything is Halal and they'll tell you that, for example the gravy in the mash is not halal etc, none of the sandwiches are halal. Tired of eating PFC, Kennedy FC and Crown FC, this is a huge breakthrough for the muslim fast food loving community. I'm really glad they came up with this idea. I loved every bite of it and probably will get some more very soon. Try it extra crispy, trust me, fried chicken does not get better than this!

I had the original and crispy fried chicken, both were excellent. Brand new clean restaurant with plenty of parking available and seating for at least 50.

I picked up a family bucket from here the other night. The food is really halal. See my full overview here: http://www.eatinhalal.com/2009/10/brooklyn-sees-its-first-halal-kfc-average-cholesterol-for-ny-muslims-increases-by-10/
