Desi Corner Store is an import store featuring East Indian-Pakistani foods, beverages and spices. Halal poultry, beef and goat. Medjool dates in season. Located at the corner of Canal and Main Streets in Big Flats, across from the Islamic Association of the Finger Lakes. Heading East from Corning towards Elmira on NYS Rte 17 (Future I-86) take a right after Big Flats Exit 49 and then a left at the stop sign. At the next stop sign take a right onto Canal Street. Travel to the end of the street, last building on the right. Open Tuesday through Sunday 11:30am - 7:00pm.

This place is wonderful. Not a huge selection of meat but plenty to work with . Spice and dal selection is excellent too. Call before you make the trip as the hours can be irregular .

Finally HALAL decent and affordable found near Ithaca as there is no Halal store close to it. The store does not provide live animal/poultry but have ready packed Halal meat which arrives from NY every week on Saturday. Also have ready food pack from Shahnawaz, Deep nan, etc. Owner is very friendly and supportive to local muslim community. As mentioned by the owner, the shop is fulfilling the Halal and Desi food needs of more then 150+ families in local area.

Very nice Halal Grocery Market. Its very near to the Masjid. This is the only Halal Grocery store in this area. Ready-packed-Halal meat available only. No live animals/poultry available. All daily Halal needed grocery/frozen food available. Parking spot available. Cash and checks accepted only. I think it is very fortunate to have a Halal grocery store in this community.
