Not enough seating, rubbish customer service, chicken had birdy smell indicating not being washed before cooked, smoking in toilets. Used to come here, returned with wife after few years to be very disappointed. They even told us to leave the table how RUDE !

came here last night. food was great, decent portions. small busy place, I am not sure if this should be classed as a restaurant lol. just another scruffy takeaway in a scruffy area. the service is very poor and feels like your eating in someones house. You want my advice, go to the Jungle Braii on Brick Lane, 10 times better, the service there is excellent, bigger restaurant and much better ambience/environment. I will only go to the Brick Lane one from now on.

Hmmmmm. where to start. Poor service, clear lack of organisation leads to food being late or wrong. Overall not that great. Wouldn't mind paying good money but steaks were wafer thin.

I have eaten here a few times but more recently have stopped and now go elsewhere. i used to go here for steak and steak alone as there are not that many halal steak place in the UK. The steak taste and spices used are nice but the meat itself is very poor. i have eaten steaks (usually T bone) across the world and must say this place probably serves the smallest portion size. This would be ok I suppose but the price does not reflect. Also many times i have gone here and the "fillet" side of the T bone never arrives which means its not actually a T bone Steak! i mean if i didn't know any better i suppose i would have simply accepted it. When staff are asked the response is funny as apparently that is how a T bone is supposed to be! lol! Another thing is that they don't actually cook the steak in the authentic way. They serve it on a hot plate cooked in the sauce as supposed to laid on top. This I can live with but someone after an authentic steak would not be pleased. Overall i see this place as a "make do" kind of place when you can't travel further on in a rush. it is defiantly much better than the local takeaways around but it classes itself as a restaurant. in terms of a restaurant it is poorly managed and like I mentioned portion sizes are small. Although staff here are nice but service and timing are poor. I think complete turnaround in management and customer service is needed as well as a look on portion sizes. Plus points are that it is local to me, the taste is good and it is HMC.

Gets busy towards the evening however, a early reservation sorts that out. The food is yummy! I always have the quarter chicken with the sides and their jungle salad makes you want to beat your chest and roar it's that good, believe me! The atmosphere is lovely and whilst the tables are close together there is enough privacy to have a good old natter. The waiters are always very accommodating. Celebrated a birthday here and had no problem with us bringing our own cake. Nice and local. Decently priced despite being popular. Good place to go out with friends and family :)

It must have gone down in quality since it became popular. The marinade used is spicy and tasty. Some dishes were great, like the chicken kebabs. But others like the ribs were pure fat and the chops had very little meat. But maybe they serve it that way so you feel like they've scavenged some food from the jungle.

A very cosy restaurant in this part of town. As you enter, first impressions lead you to think it is just a take away, but the seating area is at the back. Went in a group of 5, would defintely recommend the T-Bone steak and sausages. Very decent prices and the people running it are very nice.

So this restaurant; they do not honour reservations. Basically they will lie to you on the phone saying they will reserve your table, and then when you turn up with your family several hours later (but on time) they won't give you a table because they gave it away to other people who turned up. They will not offer any form of compensation, nor is there any apparent sincerity in their lame apology: they will say things like "what can I do? I have 36 places and 70 customers". This restaurant is a typical example of this kind of pathetic behaviour. Their food is allegedly good, presumably this is why they have a lot of customers hence they can afford to dishonour any promises of reservations. However, since you are unlikely to get to eat their food due to the treatment you receive, it is pointless speculating about the food. Disgraceful.

Excellent... Brilliant food and decent prices. Had to book as they are extremely busy and always packed... I will certainly be going back again and again and would recommend to all. Service is not the best in the world but the food is great and staff friendly.
