A halal certificate is clearly visible on the premises. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Halal certified with a wide variety of dishes. Hailing from Malaysia, my love for rich flavours started very early. After living in Vietnam for 15 years, I envisioned Halal@Saigon as the place to celebrate the fusion of Malaysian and Vietnamese flavours in a clean Halal environment.

Quit expensive but the food is good
I\'ve eaten here a couple of times due to being right across the street from the sheraton. The first time I was there, it was breakfast time and I didn\'t feel like eating a western style hotel buffet. So instead I ordered a couple of puffy malaysian style \"roti kanai\'s\" and some chicken curry. The chicken curry was delicious although could have been spicier. I like paratha\'s but these malay roti kanai\'s are a pretty damn good substitute when the pangs of hunger hit. I will definitely return here next visit to VN.
It's Vietnamese noodle is a must try.... Roti is also good. Price is okay. Staff are friendly although only few can communicate in English or Malay. We went to this restaurant twice during our 5 days stay in HCMH. Highly recommended!
-genuime HALAL restaurant unlike other indian restaurants. -no alcohol is served. -opposite jamia mosque. -very good food. -some dishes are very similar to pakistani taste especially chicken satay and mexicana grill chicken - 10 out of 10
My hubby went for Friday Prayers and came back to our hotel with loads of yummy halal food from this restaurant. After having delicious food for lunch, we thought we repeat the experience for dinner. However, dinner was a less yummy affair, food is mainly malay, we prefer local vietnamese food...we ended up going to other restaurants the rest of our stay there. A must try is their fresh spring rolls with chicken ...yummy! Anyway, as Halal choices are limited in HCMC, this place is worth a try.
I actually had a free meal here. There was a tv crew and they needed customers so pulled me off the street when I was visiting the mosque in front of them. Everyone was very friendly and some spoke good english. I tried to pay for the meal but they insisted I did them a favour so I made a donation in the masjid instead. They had samples of many dishes prepared for the tv crew. I had vietnamese pancake which was filled with bean sprouts, and chicken curry with roti. The other tables had other dishes prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant for location next to masjid, choice of dishes, and friendly staff
Wide choices of food, friendly staff, reasonable prices.
My husband and I have our lunch at this restaurant during our 5 days holiday at HCM City last two weeks. We picked this restaurant since its location was in front of the Masjid. The food taste to me was quite okay but a bit pricey. My husband cannot finished his lunch because the taste is totally not to his standard. He ordered vietnam beef soup but according to him it tasted just like a plain water! We were served a dessert eventhough we do not order them. It was a surprised then because it was included in our bill for VND2,000 per pax for the small dessert that is not yummy at all!
Clean restaurant
The best value for money eatery in Ho Chi Minh... Various menu are available... Food is good... I like...
I visit this place about 4-5 times during my 6 weeks stay in Vietnam. They serves both Malaysian and the Halal version of Vietnamese cuisines. The dishes are amazing. I would recommend their coffee chicken and the Vietnamese rice pancakes. If you want to try Vietnamese cuisines, you should visit this place. The prices is compatible although some dishes are quite expensive but worth the value.Definitely not the place to visit if you're on a tight budget but if you insist on doing so, do come with a group of friends. The interior is quite pleasing to the eye and relaxing to the soul. Great ambient. Friendly manager and she lets us celebrate one of our friends birthday there. The only thing I would expect them to improve on is their dessert menu. Other than that, the restaurant is simply amazing. Do give place a visit.
On 27.12.2009, went to this place for lunch, the food is delicious but the price is a bit pricey but it is value for money
Food is good! And nice ambience too!
Visit HCMC again on May 29, 2009 and found this restaurant exactly in front of Saigon Central Mosque at Dong Du Street. Excellent services given with splendid menu. They served Malay, Indian and Vietnamese food as the owner was from an Indian lady from Taiping, Malaysia and the chef was Muslim. Reasonable price for food as they restaurant were modern and very clean. I will return to them if I'm at HCMC again.
I live in Vietnam and went here while on business in HCMC and found the place packed with non-muslims from Australia and Europe - as food is just great. Very clean and modern, good service. Has halaal certification and opposite a Arabic centre. Will make this my regular in HCMC.
Just came back from Ho Chi Minh. New, clean, modern and pleasing to the eye restaurant. Excellent food and service. We wanted a taste of Vietnam food and this restaurant serve it! Went there twice during our stay. Definitely will go there again!
Went there on Feb 2009. New restaurant. Serve Malay and Vietnamese food. Good location, opposite Musulman Mosque. Having nasi lemak and fried mee. Just feel like home. Quite expensive.
